Eulogy to the End of the Human/Covenant War

   Forgotten and lost the world sinks away. the inhabitants all turned to ash and dust, the cities crumbled, and the ground but glass. Reach would never be forgotten by the survivors of that fateful clash of arms. Neither would the covenant in all their power as they spilt their blood for weeks across every inch of soil, every drop of clean crystalline water, for every breath of fresh air. No, they will not forget the atrocities of decades of war, ruin, and genocide, but they can forgive. the survivors will rebuild, bonds will be formed and new life will return to the lands of this once burning civilization. They will Reclaim what was theirs through all their hardship and endurance. None will forget the memory of those who died on that path, the Spartans more than any. grudges may be kept, debts settled, old friendships rekindled, the Spartans no longer needed in the endeavors of war will be needed in the job of peace. The new colonies of Reach will signify the new era. An Era of bonding between the races of the covenant. An era of healing for the wounds of the lost and weary from war. An Era of Reclamation.
